Questions to ask before an online hair-loss consultation

Before an online hair-loss consultation, save a short list of questions about the provider’s process, privacy, communication, and next steps. Use it before or during the provider’s secure process.

You do not need to ask every question. Choose the ones that help you understand the service, the privacy boundary, the people involved, and what happens after the conversation. The provider is responsible for answering questions about its own service.

For the clearest overview, start with what to expect from an online hair-loss consultation. If you want to review a provider's process, read how to evaluate an online hair-loss provider. The Medislo Guides library brings all three guides together.

Questions before starting the provider questionnaire

    • What information will the provider ask me to share, and why is it needed?
    • Who reviews my answers, and where are those clinicians licensed?
    • What happens if the provider needs more information or an online consultation is not suitable?

Questions during the online hair-loss consultation

    • What can this consultation cover, and what cannot be assessed online?
    • Who will I speak with, how will the conversation take place, and what should I do if I need an explanation?
    • What are the possible next steps after the clinician has reviewed my information?

    Privacy and communication questions

    • How does the provider store my questionnaire, consultation notes, and messages?
    • Who may access my information, and how can I ask a privacy question?
    • Which communication methods may be used, and how can I change my preferences?

    Costs, follow-up, and next steps

    • When will consultation and any treatment costs be explained, and what does each cost include?
    • What follow-up is included, and who should I contact with a non-emergency process question?
    • What should I do if I need urgent or emergency help after the consultation?

Ask these questions on the provider's secure site

Ask these questions on the provider's own secure platform, not in a Medislo form. Medislo does not collect symptoms, diagnoses, medication, insurance, or treatment information, and it does not conduct or book the consultation.

What a clear provider answer should include

A provider should be able to explain its process in plain language, identify who is responsible for the clinical service, point you to privacy information, and tell you where to direct follow-up questions. If an answer is unclear, ask for clarification before sharing information or continuing.
